We work all holidays except July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Check this page or the company voicemail for any schedule changes.
We charge $40 per month for once-a-week residential trash collection, and we bill on the first day of each month.
Our customers use whatever containers they prefer: cans that they already have or container types that they choose and prefer to have. We do not provide cans.
At this time, we are unable to offer recycling services.
Our rates vary for multiple addresses sharing one account and for higher volume customers.
Please call, text, or email for more information.
We drive pickup trucks enabling us to pull into driveways and up to trash cans. Drivers don't lift cans to empty them; they remove bags from cans by hand.
We ask our customers to bag and tie all household trash and place their cans somewhere along their driveways where they are not blocked by any vehicles. Also, please be sure each bag weighs 25 lbs. or less. Bulky items do not have to be bagged.
Items like boxes should be broken down and consolidated for easy handling and put out with trash bags.
To ensure pick-up, please have your trash out by 6:30 a.m. on your collection day. We occasionally change our routes to improve efficiency, causing your pick-up time to vary.
Items we CAN collect include regular household trash, cardboard, and smaller household items.
Items we CANNOT collect include paint, pesticides, wood, metal, construction materials, appliances, and large furniture.
Effective November 1, 2024, we will no longer be able to collect bags of grass clippings or leaves, The facility where we empty our trucks is no longer allowing us to bring those items in.
Please call, text, or email for more specific information.
We have been in business under the same family ownership for 40 years, and our family has been part of the community for several generations. Our employees have been a part of the company for many years and work together as a team. We each enjoy the relationships we build with our customers.
We are all proud to serve this community. We love being able to participate in community activities benefitting The Ark and the HHS and South Cheatham Jr Pro football concession stands. We have hosted field trips and have even taken our trucks to children's birthday parties.
We will always do our best to be good community members and to provide the highest quality service in the area.
We accept debit and credit cards, bank drafts, and personal checks.
To send in a check: send it by mail, give it to your route man, or place it in our drop box at 1627 Hwy 70, Kingston Springs.
To pay electronically with a card or bank draft: Email your request to SouthSideDisposal@gmail.com, and a payment link for your account will be emailed back to you. Monthly autopay is available through the payment link as well. If you do not want to set this up on your own, please call the office for assistance to make an electronic payment and/or to set up automatic payments.
Occasionally, we are unable to complete a customer's weekly garbage collection. Following are some possible reasons.
* Your trash was not bagged and tied. We cannot haul loose trash. We need to keep litter out of your driveway and off your street.
* Your trash cans were blocked by vehicles or items in your driveway. Please make sure your cans are placed somewhere on your driveway where we can pull up to them. We need to be able to lift the bags from your cans and place them into the truck without walking around or between vehicles.
* Your trash bags were too heavy for us to lift from your cans. Please re-bag your trash so that each bag is 25 lbs. or less, or be sure there’s no rainwater in your cans making your bags too heavy. We do not want your bags to tear in your cans or on your driveway. If there is a torn bag, we will do our best to leave the contents inside the can for the customer to re-bag.
* Other households have their trash mixed in with yours. Your account only covers trash generated in your home, not trash generated in other homes without an account.
* We could not find your trash or your trash cans/your trash was not out when we came by.
If you did not experience any of those scenarios, please call, text, or email for a quick resolution.
